Iris variegata
Hungarian iris, Iris variegata
Iris variegata is occasionally mistaken for Iris pallida 'Argentea Variegata due to the latter's variegated leaves. However, Iris variegata itself has variegated flowers. The plant features a robust rhizome with roots that can extend up to 10 cm deep in the soil. Its leaves, which are dark green and ribbed, measure approximately 1–3 cm in width. They have a slightly falcate (sword-shaped) appearance.
