This is really pretty vintage 9ct Gold 'REGARDS' ring from the 1980s.  Its multi-gem stones feature a diamond,  2 rubies, an emerald, a garnet, sapphire and an amethyst.  The first letter of each precious gemstone spells out the word, 'REGARDS'.   The gems sit atop a beautifully decorated gallery with engravings reaching down to each shoulder. The shank shows hallmarks for 9ct Gold, Birmingham and the year 1982.

This style of acrostic ring would have been given to a loved one as a token of affection, and to demonstrate that the giver held them in high 'regard'. 

This ring is a UK size M 1/2, which is a US size 6 1/2, but it could be re-sized up or down. It weighs 2.11g
