Smith & Nephew Algisite M Calcium Alginate Dressing is a low adherent dressing that forms a hydrophilic gel when it comes in contact with the wound fluids. It creates and maintains a moist environment and it prevents the formation of eschar.

This dressing is perfect for skin tears, abrasions, lacerations, minor burns, different types of ulcers and surgical wounds. It should not be used on lightly exudating wounds or by patients with an alginate allergy.
