Cleaning and proper storage of pH probes ensure the most accurate readings possible and maximize probe lifespan. If the probe surface is dirty or contaminated, readings may be inaccurate, much like a dirty windshield obstructs clear vision.

An important tip: if conductivity is low, the probe needs cleaning. pH probes, in particular, should be kept wet at all times for optimal performance and longevity.
