My first thought with this one of course was that it would be a great one to wear to a protest or rally, telegraphing attentiveness to the current state of affairs, and with pockets good for filling with buttons or fliers. (Good for a day selling at the flea market--or yard sale--too!) And pretty hard to beat that wide eyed owl logo, star and stripes on its wing. The National Observer was a general interest American weekly newspaper published by Dow Jones (1962–1977); it featured in-depth articles and societal analysis, and was known for its "magazine-in-newspaper-form" style. Among its most notable contributors was Hunter S. Thompson, who served as a correspondent on Latin America.
Good weight canvas in good condition, general wear and a few small stains, all to the good I think. Adult sized--21" across where waist ties attach. 21 3/4" from top of bib to hem (not including neck strap.)
