This gorgeous sketchbook is inspired by the mosaics of San Marco, Venice. The thick, hardcover binding is finished with wine-red cloth at the spine and textured, red-and-white decorative paper around the covers. The inside cover and flyleaf feature historical watermarks dating to the Middle Ages. Finally, a matching red ribbon is bound into the spine. The book is held together by a classic stitched-signature technique, made to last through heavy use and endure many years in storage.

Despite all those amazing details on the outside, the Venezia Sketchbook is perhaps even better on the inside. Made with Fabriano Accademia acid-free paper in 200 gsm weight, the Venezia Book can accept a very wide range of media, from pencil to fountain pen to watercolor and gouache. In our tests, none of the wet or dry media misbehaved on the paper surface, and we experienced zero bleedthrough even with heavy applications of ink and paint.
