I think one can never have too many puppets, whether for the kids, for display, or for putting on the hand or finger to endear or steel oneself when making a request or delivering bad news, or just to bring a little cheer. This sweet hand-carved and painted wooden owl with leather finger strap on back might be especially useful for imparting wisdom when not perched on the shelf, and it is fairly hard not to want to gently hoot when you have it on! 

3 1/2" t x 1 5/8" w x 3/4" d. Great vintage condition, with a little paint loss around the edges and a little alligatoring to the paint on the back side, all of which just make it better. The leather strap is plenty large to fit an adult finger or two little ones.
