" 'am Gorlitzer' is of course taken from none other than the bustling meeting point of east Berlin - Gorlitzer Park. Francesca passed through this park frequently during her three month stay in Berlin. The winterized trees have turned into skeletal silhouettes against the saturated sky. Swans float frequently through the city’s canals and offer a sort of symbol of peace for the passerbyes. Like origami cranes, they glide through the waters, leaving behind delicate ripples.
