Vintage black velvet, full-length opera/evening coat is lined in white satin. The collar folds over and has a tie on each side that just barely flares at the end. It has on seam pockets and closes with large, prong set rhinestones. Black velvet tends to absorb all the light when photographed, so please enlarge the pictures to see details. The velvet fabric is probably rayon, possibly blended with silk, and the lining might also be rayon or acetate. This is a substantial piece and clearly a luxury item, but the designer label is no longer present. We are estimating it to have been made in the 1960s, but it could be earlier. No size label is present, so please refer to the measurements below for guidance regarding size.

- Length is 51" down center back excluding collar.

CONDITION

Velvet shell has no condition issues. Lining has light soil around the hemline, probably removable with cleaning.
