This is a good example of 1960s summer wear by quality British label Blanes. It has a very attractive abstract and painterly floral print in pastel hues of pink, green and sky blue. There are some great design features on this dress such as the empire crossover bust line and the princess seams down to the asymmetric double ruffle trim running both vertically through the dress and consolidating the look around the bottom hem. The material is made to look like raw silk however it is a quality acetate fabric. The dress is fully lined and fastens to the rear with the original metal concealed zip. This is an A-line mini length dress and the hem will arrive at the mid-thigh point on an average woman. It is in really excellent vintage condition and looks very clean and fresh. There are no faults of any note. It is lightweight and a great choice for summer events or as resort wear and suitable for up to a size UK 8, US 4. Our model's sizes are: Bust: 34" (87cm), Waist: 24" (61cm), Hips: 34" (86cm) and 5' 4" (164cm) and she's a size UK 4-6, US 0-2. This dress looked great on her with some room to spare.
