For the very first time, Mars Brewery and Baekgyung Distillery visit Hong Kong — two of Korea's most distinctive artisan brewers, side by side, in one room.
A relaxed, brewer-led tasting at the American Club. Across the evening, the two brewers pour seven sool together — including one new bottling from Baekgyung, released in Hong Kong for the first time at this event.
Each brewer will share their story and their craft in a short 15-minute introduction, followed by free-flow tasting and snacks.
Mars Brewery makes makgeolli with Korean rice and locally grown grapes — a fermentation style that drinks closer to wine than to traditional rice wine.
Three sool from Mars will be poured tonight — their first time in Hong Kong.
Despite the name, Baekgyung is mostly known for its yakju and traditionally distilled soju. The brewery cultivates its own nuruk on site, by hand.
This is also Baekgyung's first visit to Hong Kong.
Three of Baekgyung's signature bottles will be poured, alongside one new release making its Hong Kong debut at this event.
