1950s Kodak 'Brownie Hawkeye' Table lamp/Desk Lamp

Another great find, a Bakelite Kodak Hawkeye camera. Bakelite, the forerunner of modern plastics, is one of my favourite materials. The compact size and retro look of this Table Lamp means it will look good in many interior settings.

The much loved Brownie Hawkeye flash model camera had a moulded Bakelite body and was manufactured between September 1950 to July 1961. It took 620 film with a picture size of 2 1/4" square. Its original price was $7.00.

The dimmer switch (easily located at night-time with the small red led) can be used to give a beautifully soft orange glow or a brighter light when preferred.
