Original to c.1915, this sweet Edwardian diamond cluster ring is impossible to not be charmed by. Designed as a delicate daisy flower, its set with seven cushion shape old-mine cut diamonds, grain-set with a rub-over border featuring decorative ridged detail.
The gallery features open-work and tiny chenier details. The shoulders of this ring are particularly refined, elegantly split in two with open-work, they curve to meet the head of the ring. They almost appear as stylised stems of a flower which is certainly not a coincidence! The shoulders taper to meet at a ridge which then flows to a solid 18ct yellow gold band.
Edwardian jewellery is known for its delicacy, air of lightness and femininity - three qualities which this ring certainly embodies. Typical of antique rings, its profile is low and elegantly conforms to the finger for comfortable and practical wear. This ring would be perfect for someone after a more subtle engagement ring and is the perfect piece to be worn and loved for decades to come!
Excellent: all stones are secure and well set, with no damage to the mount. Professionally polished and carefully inspected by our workshop, ready to wear and enjoy.
Unless stated otherwise, gem weights and specifications are estimated (assessed in mount).
