A nice Gary Howells fly rod, 7' 2-piece, 2-tip built for a #5 line. Serial #3956. Built for Anglers All with a medium action. Used but well cared for. Medium brown oven tempered cane with a three-up node pattern. The varnish is in generally very good condition but has a few touch up spots including a 2-inch long section of the corner of the butt between the stripper and the top guide of the butt. Wrapped brown with yellow edges. Lettered "G.H.Howells, 7' 2 3/4 oz #3956". Serial number indicates an approximate 1973 manufacture date. 5 1/4" half wells grip with a mortised cork seat and aluminum slide band and pocket cap. A button at the base of the pocket cap which looks like it might be black delrin. Chrome snake guides. Original red cloth bag and aluminum tube with the Howells data sticker.
