Pink Floyd's classic album "Animals" is back with a NEW REMIX after 45 years! The iconic flying pig album artwork has also been redesigned! Released in 1977, Pink Floyd's classic album "Animals" is back with a new remix that transcends 45 years! ANIMALS (2018 REMIX)" will be released in CD, LP and Blu-ray formats on September 16, 2022, and a "limited deluxe version" containing them all on October 7. This will be the first time ever that the film will be released in 5.1 surround sound (Blu-ray and SACD). The album was remixed by Pink Floyd sound master James Guthrie in 2018 from the original master tapes, but was put on hold due to various reasons. The iconic artwork of pigs flying over the Battersea Power Station has been redesigned, and the album will be released in its best possible form and with the finest sound possible today. Animals" is Pink Floyd's tenth studio album, originally released in January 1977. The album was recorded by David Gilmour, Nick Mason, Roger Waters, and Richard Wright at their Britannia Row studio from 1976 to early 1977, and was produced by the band members themselves. It reached a high of #2 in the UK and #3 in the US, and is considered one of their best albums. Animals (REMIX)" will be released independently in CD, LP (with a spread jacket), and Blu-ray formats. In addition to the LP, CD, Blu-ray (audio), and DVD (audio), a "limited edition deluxe version" of the album will also be available in a gorgeous hardcover book with a 32-page booklet featuring rare behind-the-scenes photos of the album cover photo shoot, live performances, and merchandise from the era. A "Deluxe Version" of the album will also be released.The Blu-ray and DVD include a stereo 5.1 surround remix (by James Guthrie) and the original 1977 stereo mix.
