Harmony of songs, piano and strings. A self-produced album of good old jazz standards and original songs arranged as if it were a year and 12 months! A year is 12 months. The cycle has been repeating in a roundabout way from the past to the present without any change. Within that cycle, there is spring with its lightness, summer with its clear blue skies, fall with its quiet contemplation of the scenery, and winter with its coldness. In this album, each of the 12 months of the year is represented by a song, and one extra song is recorded a cappella. Starting with Bill Evans' "Waltz for Debbie," which features my piano playing with Mio Abe's violin and Orie Hirayama's cello string arrangement, "Springlake," a duo recording with lyrics to a song by Yasukiko Toyama, and "Arigato no Uta," a song by my favorite Akane Noguchi with lyrics The album also includes "Arigatou no Uta," a song with lyrics by Akane Noguchi, a favorite of mine, as well as classical, pop, and gospel music.
