The second volume of "Blue Note Re:imgained," which has made a big splash with reinterpretations of classic Blue Note tunes by some of the best contemporary UK jazz musicians, is now available! Blue Note Re:imgained" (2020), which drew a huge response by reinterpreting classic Blue Note tunes with the participation of the best musicians in the UK jazz world, including Jorja Smith, Shabaka Hutchings, Alpha Mist, Jordan Rakai, and others. The long-awaited second release of "Blue Note Reimagined" (2020), which swept the world jazz charts, featured Kan Sano on Donald Byrd's "Think Twice" and made a big splash as the first Japanese release on Decca Records in the UK. This time, too, many of the hottest names in the future of the UK jazz world have gathered. The nine members of the group, formed at the College of Music in Leeds, include Igo Ella May, a singer representing London's neo-soul scene; Oscar Jerome, who has made a splash with his collaboration with WONK; Maya Delilah, who has a hit song with Sam Henshaw; Ruben James, a Grammy winner and a child prodigy; and the group of "The Souls", a group of musicians who have been performing together in the UK since the early 1990s. The nine-piece jazz collective Nubian Twist, formed at the College of Music in Leeds, will participate in this new recording, offering their unique interpretations of some of Blue Note's best-known songs.The songs include such standards as Thelonious Monk's "Epistrophe" and Marina Shaw's "Feel Like Making Love," as well as a number of post-1990s selections such as Norah Jones' "Don't No Why" and "Sunrise" and Neil Young's "Harvest Moon," which Cassandra Wilson covered to great acclaim. The first single will be available for download and will be released on the first day of the event. The first single, "Morning Side of Love" by Igo Ella Mae, is from Chico Hamilton's 1975 album "Peregrinations," released on the Blue Note label. The track retains the laid-back groove of the original song, but also features her extended vocals.
