Mozart (1756-1791)

Description:

Mozart by Felix Koch & the Neumeier Consort! Requiem" with "Amen Fugue" supplemented by Professor Birger Petersen of the Mainz University of Music! Also includes world premiere recordings by Salieri and Vogler! Felix Koch, a conductor, cellist and music teacher who is a professor at the Mainz University of Music, conductor of the Collegium Musikum at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, and artistic director of the Frankfurt Forum for Old Music, and the German Baroque Orchestra "Neumeier Consort" founded by Koch in 2007. Neumeier Consort. And the Gutenberg Chamber Choir, founded in 2013 as the elite choir of the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz Choral Academy. Their next notable recording project is Mozart's Requiem, which has been the talk of the town since their recording of the newly reconstructed 1744 version of Bach's "Mark Passion" (CHR77423). Based on the edition completed by Mozart's pupil Franz Xaver Jussmeyer (Jussmeyer), Birger Petersen, Professor of Music Theory at the Mainz University of Music, completed the "Amen Fugue" after "Lacrimosa" in the style and spirit of Mozart, and Koch completed the "Amen Fugue" in the style and spirit of Koch. The result is a work that Koch calls "the Mainz version of the Mozart Requiem.Furthermore, two world premiere recordings of works by Mozart's contemporaries, Antonio Salieri (Antonio Salieri) and Georg Josef Vogler, complement this repertoire and make the album even more appealing.
