The portable handsets plug into the strategically located and permanently installed receptacles throughout the building. Plugging in a portable telephone handset causes a “call-in’ buzzer to sound, lights a “call-in” lamp, and lights an individual zone lamp in zoned systems, at the command center.
A storage panel for handsets can be provided at the street-level control panel. Refer to an applicable control panel literature for details.
