This is a popular Japanese 80's groove album that DJs and overseas collectors have been talking about for years. Included are "STREET ARE HOT" (SIDE-2(1)) and "HEARTBEAT" (SIDE-1(2)), popular urban funk songs that were used as the theme song and insert song for the original anime (OVA) "California Crisis". Weaver (sax, vo), James W. Norwood (b, vo), and Miho Fujiwara (vo) formed CHOCOLATE LIPS in 1984 and released "CHOCOLATE LIPS" (RKL-8801 /RVC/ CARNIVAL / 1984). In 1986, they released "CALIFORNIA CRISIS" (RHL-4508 /RVC/CARNIVAL 1986) under the name MIHO. After that, she worked as a vocalist for PAZZ, OG'S, pas de chat..., etc. and many others, as well as his own album "Mistress" (RHL-4508 /RVC/CARNIVAL 1986).Outside of the main act, he has sung in the chorus for numerous recordings and stage performances by Ken Hirai, Miki Imai, Masayuki Suzuki, DOUBLE, CINDY, MISIA, Gilbert O'Sullivan, and many others.
