The Pixies

The Pixies are a charismatic band that has had a major impact on the indie rock scene since the 1990s. The Pixies' latest release, "Doggerel", is a dark and beautiful album, with a mature yet intuitive mix of gruesome folk, ballroom pop, and violent rock, intertwined with a dark burlesque rhapsodic world. The band will be making a "revenge" tour of Japan this fall! The deluxe edition of the album will be released in a bookish package with a luxurious booklet that will allow you to deeply appreciate the album's worldview! The Pixies, a charismatic band that has greatly influenced the indie rock scene since the 1990s, reunited in 2004 and released their first studio album in 23 years, "INDIE CINDY", in 2014, followed by "HEAD CARRIER" in 2016 and "BENEATH THE EYE" in 2019. After consistently releasing albums with "BENEATH THE EYRIE", they have now completed a new album! They have been leading the US grunge/alternative movement since their formation in Boston, USA in 1986. Their insane lyrics and strangely pop sound with distortion and roaring guitars have won them many enthusiastic fans and influenced artists such as Kurt Cobain (Nirvana), Thom Yorke (Radiohead), Pearl Jam, and many others. After releasing five albums, the band briefly disbanded in 1993, but reformed in April 2004, releasing their first album in 23 years in 2014. A new member, Paz Lenchantin (A Perfect Circle, Zwan, etc.) joined the band as a touring member and was welcomed as an official member in 2016. Their first studio album in three years, "DOGGEREL". This is their eighth album in total, and was produced in a slightly different way than in the past.Instead of the traditional method of roughing out ideas in the studio, Black Francis prepared about 40 songs in advance for the recording session. In the winter of 2022, the band members met up with producer Tom Dalgedy, who had also worked on their previous two albums, at Guilford Studios in Vermont to begin recording.
